Replication Fail (Alarm)

Can I configure spotlight for sending message when some replication process fail occur? Today receive information when SQL Agent Alerts alarm occur, but is not best solution. I want the specific alarme for replication error. That is possible in spotlight?

Hi Bruno,
Absolutely. There is an alarm in Spotlight for Replication Failure and/or Retry so you know if a replication agent process has failed and/or is in retry mode trying to accomplish the replication task.

I know sql agent alert alarm but not see specific alarm for replications problem. My version is 2.5.

Oh, sorry Bruno, I must have misunderstood. You might consider using our Spotlight on Replication product in the interim between now and when we roll the functionality fully into Spotlight. The address is http://www.quest.com/betas and from there you can select the Spotlight on Replication product. That is completely focused on monitoring and alerting on replication issues.

Yes, that's correct. We are fully integrating replication into Spotlight Enterprise in our April release. The product I recommended in the interim is separate, and I welcome any and all input you may have as we will use that feedback as we build the integrated feature.
